On Thursday, 19 October at 6.30pm, we opened the doors at Huckletree, Finsbury Square and welcomed professionals and those wanting to learn more about the power that data can hold and importantly how to use it successfully.
Our first presentation was led by Akmal, of whom is also one of our Eurostaff Experts and enjoys presenting at our events, always receiving great feedback from our guests. His presentation was a focussed topic looking at the power of Apache® Ignite™; explaining the availability of very powerful in-memory computing platforms. Our attendees learnt through examples, how Apache® Ignite™ could be used for data analysis and be the in-memory hammer in your machine learning toolkit.
A quick break, slice of pizza (or few), glass of wine or beer and back to more data content. Samir a natural born presenter gripped the audience discussing the business of data. He gave a broad overview about data and discussed which challenges and questions clients are asking when it comes to extracting information, with case studies included which highlighted the benefits of using this to understand your target audience and the power of segmentation.
After the speakers were finished, there was lots of questions to both presenters, more pizza, wine and beer and then we were all on our way home, a little richer in knowledge about the data industry.
Myself and James Rutter hosted the night, ensuring that any guests who wanted to be presented to opportunities arising in the industry were listened to. We look forward to hosting another event in London as we continue on our ethos Connecting Europe™.
