Role Responsibilities

To set an appropriate level of challenge to your own team and internal partners in order to continually demonstrate improvement in the quality and quantity of delivery.
Recognised level of expertise and act as a role model in terms of behaviour and commitment to collaboration, and raising standards.
Manage and lead a team of circa 15 re. performance development.
Provide leadership and coaching to ensure all staff understand and are aligned to the goals and culture of Barclays, taking corrective action as appropriate.
To work with Business Processes team to build effective and innovative resource plans to ensure delivery.
Monitor and control the development, training, motivation and appraisal of 16 staff, ensuring stretching objectives are set and reviewed via the PD process. To ensure all staff have development plans.
To support the vision for World Class Delivery embedding new behaviours and processes to create a step change in performance.
Consultancy resource to establish clear requirements.
Establish and maintain structures to ensure projects comply with relevant governance frameworks (eg NPA, RAID logs, plans, progress reporting, active risk & issue management).
Monitor and control resources and funds against budget, gain agreement for revisions and maximise cost reduction opportunities and synergies across cluster.
Production of accurate reporting and analysis to track project status, report portfolio overview and prove improvements in delivery performance.
To integrate with World Class Delivery agenda.
To support the Business Processes team in developing the MTP/STP SI plan and the establishment of Resourcing plans to deliver the portfolio of change.
support the CED agenda eg through moderation processes, by accepting and responding positively to the effectiveness and efficiency challenge set by the new Business Processes team.
Leadership of Customer Targeting team to deliver a portfolio of marketing campaigns including:

Knowledge and Expertise

Strong analytical ability. Able to shape and lead analysis and answer complex business problems.
Deep understanding of tools and coding required for campaign management/list management world.
Strong ability to set direction for a team (including setting short, medium and long term plans).
Strong Experience of managing change projects and process re-engineering.
Campaign management or list management knowledge and experience in external organisations.
Marketing Analytics and Risk knowledge and experience in external organisations.
Direct Marketing within the Financial Services Industry.
Strong stakeholder management - ability to work with MA, CRO and other business stakeholders to identify new and innovative ideas for success.
Team Working.
Understanding of Direct Mail Practices.
Understanding of Credit Bureau data sources and processes used within the Industry.
Experience of automation, producing campaigns and validation of jobs.
Able to develop bespoke tools and solutions to improve business efficiency and performance including demand management, automated data retrieval etc.
Experience of owning all campaigns for an organisation, and being able to prioritise and manage stakeholders.
Experience of managing and improving the profile of a team at an organisational level.
Experience of implementing and working with campaign management or optimization tools.
