One of the wind industry leaders have asked us to engage a search for a Head of Electrical Systems to enhance the development of their wind turbines globally.
Focus of Head of Electrical Systems:
Lead a large business unit
• The unit is split in 5 sub-units
• Each of the departments is lead by a Head of Department >> 5 direct reports:
o Grid Connection Team
o Panels (design) Team
o Low Voltage Systems Compatibility Team
o Pitch systems Team
o Electrical-Design Support Team
• Position holder reports to the Head of Product Development
Key Responsibilities:
o Strategic: global responsibility for the development of Electrical Systems for wind-turbines; providing and testing the technical specifications of the turbines; feasibility studies
o Operative: provide requirements for electrical design of turbines in order to ensure efficient production, installation and operation of wind turbine generators; managing human resources and administrative matters for the segment
