One of Eurostaff’s clients, a global leader in offshore wind developments is currently experiencing huge growth. We are again supporting them with a current project where they require an Engineering Quality Manager on a long term contract based in Germany
Engineering Quality Manager
The Engineering QM is planning and controlling of technical interfaces and
interdependencies between different packages. In the construction phase he/she will follow up on and mitigate negative consequences that technical or timely changes in one area of the project have on other areas of the project.
• Promote a common basis of design and ensure consistent application, ensuring functional sign-off of interface deliverables within the various tender packages.
• Take responsibility for and manage the current Project Interfaces Register
• Coordinate technical changes from all packages
• Main interface contact for the package team.
• Ensure functional sign-off of interface deliverables according to the Package contracts.
• Manage the technical input from Package Contractors,
• Organising reviews and Interface meetings as required to ensure full understanding of project interfaces.
• Expedite the issue and receipt of required design interface data.
• Ensure technical changes are addressed and incorporated by the Package
• Ensure incorporation of the agreed O&M philosophy and Consent requirements
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
"Project engineer” with significant professional experience:
• Experienced engineer who can cover a wide range of technical applications
• Experience in project management of large projects
• Knowledge of wind turbine design, maintenance & operation,
• Knowledge of cabling infrastructure and
• Knowledge of wind farm layout
• Knowledge of large welding structures
• Knowledge of maritime corrosion protective systems (active and passive)
Personal skills:
• Engineering degree with at minimum of ten (10) years experience
• Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate
• effectively in German and English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
• Able to liaise with other departments/clients where necessary
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications. In particular, MS Project, Word and Excel
• Experience of dealing with external partners
