Looking for someone that's analytically minded, NOT a data number cruncher, and really someone that can think strategically about Consumer/Market insight and create solutions for the Credit Card business.
Credit Cards Market insight analyst
Credit cards is an highly competitive, innovative and fast moving industry and we have the largest market share in the UK. The role sits in Business Development within the New Product Development (NPD) team which has responsiblity for driving new innovation and informing future product strategy. Specifically this role will support NPD decision making by providing insights & analysis from external market data sources, and customer insight materials. Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have a passion for market & customer insights, and the ability to use this to drive value for the business.
Key Accountabilities:
• Deliver regular market reports with accompanying recommendations
• Manage day-to-day relationships with external market insight suppliers
• Convert market information and data into insight and be prepared to present this to senior managers and peers
• Use customer insight (research, surveys, trends) to build a greater understanding of consumers and inform NPD
• Support the Senior Manager, Product & NPD in the development of presentations to the Cards Executive Management Team
Insight role: skills:
• Expert on the credit cards market and competitive environment
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of a wide range of insight
sources: primary market data, secondary reports &
insights, & informal internal sources of insight
• Maintains an extensive library of insight sources & manages the
relationship with key market intelligence providers
• Able to prepare high quality insight & analysis (presentations)
• Good understanding of market data
• Good understanding of financial services customer trends &
customer research
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
