Senior Application Developer PHP
This role is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands
The ideal Application Developer PHP is an innovative technical expert who is fluent in software development and mainly focused on web development of rich internet applications.
You will be programming in PHP, JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, XML, CSS on the LAMP (Linux / Apache / MySQL / Perl / PHP) platform. You have the motivation and ability to realize great ideas and work with a team of UX/UI experts to develop and maintain several applications.
Responsibilities
Design and develop web applications in PHP/MySQL/Apache environment
Design and develop API's
Deliver scalable, high quality code
Work closely with product manager to realize features and additions
Write clear, concise and efficient code using web standards that is maintainable
Deliver high quality applications with well structured code you can be proud of
Work with the SCRUM team, sharing knowledge and documenting relevant information
Requirements
5+ years of PHP/MySQL development experience is a must have
Bachelors degree in a related field
Solid knowledge of the HTTP protocol
Solid understanding and programming skills with databases
Thorough understanding of HTML/CSS,XML, JavaScript and the HTTP protocol
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
Understanding of cross-browser and platform compatibility issues
Knowledge of OOP and MVC and other development patterns
Basic knowledge of Linux environments
Familiarity with source version control
Experience working in an agile environment is a plus
